Hear Her Stories sits
at the intersection of media, advocacy and strategy.
We work with institutions and brands that want to shift narratives about women, and we design campaigns built for scale, action and long term impact.
What we do
We work with institutions, NGOs and brands to:
01
Turn complex issues such as gender based violence, pay equity, reproductive rights, mental health and migration into human stories that people actually read, save and share.
02
Build social first campaigns through carousels, short films, content series and editorial features that educate, provoke and inspire, rather than simply “raising awareness”.
03
Translate policy and data into narratives that help decision makers, funders and the public understand what is at stake.
04
Connect grassroots realities such as shelters, hotlines, host communities and survivors’ groups with global platforms including UN agencies, governments and large brands.
We operate like a small, focused newsroom and creative studio in one. We research, interview, write, produce visuals and then distribute to a highly engaged global community that cares about women’s rights.
Who we work with
We partner with multilateral institutions, public bodies, frontline organisations and brands.
Multilateral and international organizations
We work with organizations shaping international standards and funding streams on gender equality, economic justice and representation.
Governments and public institutions
We engage with institutions, policymakers, and national and regional bodies responsible for shaping policies on work, safety, health, education and political participation.
Frontline organizations
We lead conversations and collaborations with organizations focused on economic autonomy, individual freedoms, anti-violence and survivor centered advocacy.
Brands and private sector
We are building a model where companies in fashion, beauty, technology, media, finance and beyond can fund and co create campaigns that speak honestly about women’s lives, instead of just placing a logo on a cause post.
How our campaigns look in practice
A few examples of how we turn shared values into concrete campaigns.
UN Women Deutschland
From global campaign to street-level resistance
Turned a UN Women campaign on gender-based violence into a social-first series rooted in women on the frontlines – in shelters, courtrooms and local communities. Hear Her Stories led the concept and storytelling so a global message was carried by specific, lived realities.
Women and children
Worked with UNICEF USA on youth mental health and girls’ education, treating women’s rights as central to children’s futures. Hear Her Stories created carousels and social storytelling that put girls’ and young people’s voices at the heart of UNICEF’s campaigns.
Making pay gaps visible
Turned technical reports on wage and pension gaps into clear, human stories that made pay equity feel immediate rather than abstract. Hear Her Stories produced explainers, carousels and profiles that showed who pay equity protects and why the law matters in everyday life.
Government of Canada
Skills and opportunity
Supported a government-backed programme that trained and upskilled women and newcomer women in data and tech, then linked them to employers. Hear Her Stories built the narrative and outreach so more women applied, completed the programme and moved into real jobs.
Digital inclusion and women’s leadership
Co-designing a storytelling series that follows women in W4 programmes as they gain digital access, skills and capital. Hear Her Stories pairs testimonies with programme data so partners can clearly see how connectivity and training change work, income and leadership in women’s lives.
Ten years on from France’s prostitution law
Ahead of the tenth anniversary of France’s 2016 prostitution law, we are developing a campaign with Solenciel that combines testimonies and explainers on prostitution and trafficking. Hear Her Stories uses trauma-informed interviews and clear context to show how law, stigma and daily life intersect.
UNICEF USA × MS NOW
K.I.N.D. Fund 15th anniversary
Marked 15 years of the K.I.N.D. Fund by telling the stories of Malawian girls whose schooling was reshaped by desks and scholarships. Hear Her Stories profiled recipients and tied their journeys to impact numbers, drawing a clear line from funding to futures.
How we work with partners
When an organization or brand approaches us, we typically:
01.
Clarify the issue and the goal
We ask what needs to change. Perception, policy, behaviour, sign ups, donations or internal culture.
02.
Define the story angle
We map the human stories, data and lived experiences that will carry the message. This includes survivors, frontline workers, activists, policymakers and young people.
03.
Design the campaign
This can include a social media series or editorial package, a campaign around a key moment such as Sixteen Days of Activism, International Women’s Day, Equal Pay Day or World Mental Health Day, toolkits and assets that partners can reuse internally and visual concepts that are bold, unapologetic and instantly recognizable as Hear Her Stories.
For each initiative, we give partners a clear view of impact such as reach, engagement, saves, shares, click throughs and where possible program outcomes like applications or event attendance.
Why organizations and brands choose Hear Her Stories
We are independent, but not neutral.
Our editorial perspective is clear. We stand with women and girls. That clarity builds trust with our audience and gives partners a credible, aligned voice to work with.
We understand both activism and institutions.
We speak with UN agencies, parliamentary committees, shelters, survivors and young activists. We also understand how governments, donors and brands think about risk, reputation and key performance indicators.
We protect editorial integrity.
Even when a campaign is funded, our stories are not advertorials. We co design the concept with partners, but we hold the line on truth, nuance and dignity.
We are building a serious business, not a side project.
Hear Her Stories is a media company with a long term vision. We want to grow into a global, revenue driven platform that can finance ambitious feminist storytelling at scale. When you work with us, you are not just supporting a cause. You are investing in a new kind of feminist media.
